The day has finally come
I’ve had a dream. A long time dream. A dream of my own yoga space out here in the archipelago. A space that is available for my yoga and meditation practices any time of the day, any time of the year. My own temple.
And now the process has started.
Actually, it started early last spring when we took down a lot of trees here, that were then transported to a sawmill to be made into timber and planks. Some of the wood was driven to a window carpenter.
However, building even the smallest shack in Finland requires going through quite a bit of red-tape. Plans, construction details, building site, constructor, architect, supervisor etc. have to be approved by the authorities, neighbours are to be heard and so on and so forth before you can start doing anything.
With all that done, the actual building is now about to start. And this morning at 8 our trusted “badger” arrived with his machinery to start clearing the site. It is so impressive to see how he moves that big shovel with millimeter precision. Tugging, cutting, lifting, swinging loading everything on a trailer, not leaving any debris behind.
The builder also came by and early tomorrow morning he and the electrician will be here to make the plans for the next phase of the project.
Do I need to say that I’m excited?
